Looking to get your foot in the door? Or do you have a requirement to fill for a media degree? Either way, HQB News welcomes anyone looking for work experience…
Over the years, we have seen a wealth of journalistic talent come in and out of Bournemouth. Some of them have spent a couple of weeks with us on work experience, and some even longer. If you fancy joining that list, read on…
For work experience and unpaid internships, HQB News welcomes students currently reading journalism and media-related subjects at university. In addition, we also accept younger applicants (aged 16-18) looking to take their first steps in the media industry.
Placements are open to aspiring journalists, videographers, photographers, and presenters. You will be credited for all work that you produce for us, so you can use this towards your portfolios and future job applications.
Due to COVID-19, all placements are currently remote. Therefore, applicants will have to act on their own initiative, displaying a self-starter work ethic and a passion for delivering the best-quality output. However, applicants will be monitored and evaluated regularly by our supervising editors. So there will always be someone on-hand to ask for help.
How do I apply?
If you fancy applying for a placement, send your CV and covering email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Once we review your application, we will be in touch to discuss dates, the length of the placement, and other details. We look forward to potentially hearing from you!
