Henry Cakebread — Producing “Weekend Wandering: The Outback”

After last week’s well-received introduction to freelance filmmaker Henry Cakebread, we now examine his recent release more closely. An in-depth look into the production of “Weekend Wandering: The Outback”.

The main purpose behind our interview with Henry Cakebread – a freelance filmmaker based in Poole – was to talk about his latest project. A short film entitled Weekend Wandering: The Outback. It is a project that underwent many drastic changes over the course of production. In terms of both style and content. The reasons behind those changes and the events that sparked the decisions were on the top of our question list. And did those decisions pose further challenges afterwards? The resulting story definitely shows the filmmaking process is nowhere near as smooth as we might think. In fact, it can be an arduous journey, full of twists and turns.

As such, Part 2 forms the longer segment of our four-part series on Henry. You can, however, catch up on Part 1 by clicking here. This deals with Henry’s origins in the film industry and what made him want to produce extreme sports films.

Take a look at Henry’s website here if you want to find out more. You can also follow HQB Media on all our social media channels: FacebookTwitterInstagramLinkedIn and YouTube.
