5 Places to Enjoy New Year’s Eve in Bournemouth This Year

Less than a fortnight to go! Where are you headed for New Year’s Eve this year? Maybe one of our Bournemouth suggestions…?

If your answer to, “Where are you going for New Year’s Eve?” is, “I have no idea,” maybe you need a little inspiration. Bournemouth is thriving on NYE, so there’s no shortage of events going on that night. Celebrate the arrival of 2020 at one of the five venues we’ve picked out.

New Year’s Eve 2019 with MistaJam, Cameo

This is perhaps the biggest and most diverse celebration of New Year in Bournemouth this year. Sprawling across all five rooms in Cameo, each catering different musical tastes. From a Peaky Blinders theme in Myu Bar, soundtracked with the house music talents of Liam Searle; to the ABBA tribute in Vinyl. But it’s the appearance of BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam that will be the most appealing, as his sets provide the countdown to 1st January.

Find out more about this event and book tickets on the venue’s website.

PRIVA New Year’s Eve Soirée 2019, Level8ight Sky Bar

After a great event last year, PRIVA return to the Bournemouth Hilton’s Level8ight Sky Bar to present another NYE soirée. Bringing with them a host of special guest DJs to play you into 2020. There’s no particular theme for this event — just dress to impress!

For more information, including ticket prices, take a look at this Eventbrite page.

New Year’s Eve Casino Royale Party, Key West

Channel your inner James Bond or Bond Girl at the end of Bournemouth Pier this 31st December. Their restaurant, Key West, is hosting a Casino Royale-inspired evening of live entertainment, glitz, glamour and surprises as we head into 2020. Plus a spot of blackjack and roulette for those who want to try their luck.

This event is actually sold-out, according to the Key West website. However, you can still sign up to get on the waiting list. You may get lucky if there’s a cancellation!

Check out Key West’s website for more information.

The Great Gatsby NYE, Canvas

For those looking for a stylish themed night out, Canvas, just before The Triangle, is hosting a 1920s evening, themed around The Great Gatsby. Transport yourselves nearly 100 years to the early 20th century as this venue decks itself in classic speakeasy chic. Then enjoy entertainment from the Prosecco reception starting at 8pm to the sets of resident DJ, TJ Byham (plus some special guests) playing you past midnight.

There is more information on this event available on the Canvas website.

NYE – The Black & White Ball, DNA

DNA in the Lansdowne presents a night of Afrobeats, Hip Hop, R & B and much more, plus confetti cannons and a balloon drop this New Year’s Eve. This event – The Black & White Ball – is brought to you by one of Bournemouth’s top events companies, KR Events. And while there is no specific dress code, organisers expect all attendees to be dressed to impress, preferably in black and white.
