Say “Goodbye” to Sound Circus…

…but “Hello” to Alt! All you need to know as everyone’s favourite rock, alternative and indie music venue Sound Circus prepares to rebrand…

It has been revealed that popular nightlife destination Sound Circus will be bowing out later this month. But don’t worry — it’s not forever. This is only a rebrand, and the rock and alternative club on Holdenhurst Road will be called Alt from the end of September.

A finale event is taking place on Saturday 21st September to bid farewell to the 400-capacity nightclub. This event will be followed by the opening night for Alt just five days later.

According to the venue’s social media pages, Alt will still offer the same music and cheap drinks that have made it so popular with regulars and students. However, it will undergo a considerable refurbishment.

The Sound Circus finale event is offering a very special souvenir. Namely, 100 framed pieces of the old carpet! Definitely something for seasoned regulars to remember the club’s former incarnation by.

Find out all about the finale event and the opening night for Alt on their respective Facebook pages. There is also more information about the venue on its websiteAlso, don’t forget to follow HQB News on our socials. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
