March 2020 Greatest Picks

March 2020 has some exciting and interesting things in store for Bournemouth and Poole, read on to find out just what they are…

New month, new set of events for us to look forward to. Allow me to present my top picks for March 2020 in Bournemouth and Poole.


6 Mar, BIC, Bournemouth

Rapper and club anthem hit-maker Example is currently embarking on his 2020 tour. The March leg of the tour includes only four dates, one of which is at our very own BIC!

Example promises, “every hit and all the new bangers”. The tour will also see the rapper perform hits from his latest project, Bangers & Ballads. In true Example style, the show is sure to be a high-energy experience.

Treasure Island

12-14 Mar, Lighthouse Theatre, Poole

From 12-14th March, third year students from Arts University Bournemouth are staging an exciting production of Robert Louis Stevenson’s much-loved classic adventure, Treasure Island, at the Lighthouse in Poole.

The show comes from AUB Productions, bringing together actors, set and costume designers, make-up artists and other production specialists from the Arts University. Long John Silver’s parrot will also be played by a puppet, created especially by a student too!

Adults tickets are priced at £15.75 and £7.00 for concessions. Evening and matinée performances are also available. For more information, click here.

Pop-Up Pug and Frenchie Café

17 Mar, Revolution, Lansdowne

Pup Up Café is back, now hosting their first pop-up for Pugs and Frenchies in Bournemouth on 17th March. Bringing together dog lovers from around Bournemouth, this day is certainly not one to miss. With doggy ball pits, treat stations and best dressed competitions, dog lovers and owners alike can come along and mingle. Hosted at Revolution in Lansdowne, the pug café session will start at 10am and finish at 1pm. Followed by the Frenchies session, taking place from 1.30pm to 5pm. So there’s fun to be had for all!

The Gin To My Tonic Festival

27-28 Mar, Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth

Bringing together over 100 different types of gin from across the UK is The Gin To My Tonic Festival. Returning to Bournemouth on 27th and 28th March at the Pavilion Theatre, gin lovers have the chance to taste premium gins from across the country. With live entertainment and food, plus a gin party atmosphere! Tickets guarantee you entry to a session, plus a ‘Gin To My Tonic’ Copa balloon glass, tote bag, pen, and a Gin Explorer guide!

The Joe and Dianne Show

28 Mar, BIC, Bournemouth

Finally, to round off the month are two Strictly Come Dancing stars, Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell. Bringing their highly anticipated tour to the BIC on 28th March. Expect an evening of fantastic performance, glitz, magic and plenty of laughs in true Strictly style. Suitable for all ages too, so that means there’s fun to be had for the whole family.
