HQB News is a subsidiary of HQB Media. We define ourselves as an online multimedia news, lifestyle and human-interest platform, based around Bournemouth and its surrounding areas.
These days, we feel the media is full of crime, corruption, murder and mayhem. We, on the other hand, love spreading positive news and stories across Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch. And celebrating the projects and achievements of our countless talented locals. Regardless of their backgrounds, education or interests, we believe everyone has a story to tell about why they do what they do, what inspired them to do it, and what they have achieved along the way. Whether artistic, athletic, entrepreneurial, charitable or political. But our mission isn’t just people-centric. We relish the opportunity to keep our followers up-to-date with all local goings-on, events, festivals, openings and lots more.
Whether on video, in writing, or on our official podcast Bournemouth Backchat, HQB News is here for you as your go-to place for positivity in Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch.
What does HQB stand for?
HQB stands for Harbour Quay Beach – three iconic places across Christchurch, Poole and Bournemouth – our main patch.
We currently exist on the efforts of our amazing team of journalists, presenters, designers and social media execs. Click here to find out more about them. And if you have a story that you think we’d be interested in, visit our Submit a Story page for more information.
